Plug Compatibility

In North America, most all-electric vehicles utilize the J1772 plug for Level 2 charging, with the exception of Tesla, which uses its proprietary plug. Luckily, an adapter is available that converts Tesla's plug to the J1772 standard. The J1772 plug has been widely adopted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) as the standard for Level 2 AC charging, ensuring compatibility and convenience across various electric vehicle models.
